The Frighteners

The above sculpture was a collaboration between Richard and Richard Taylor

This is a selection of work from the Peter Jackson directed film The Frighteners which starred Michael J. Fox. The above sculpture is a sculpt for the character of the Gatekeeper, a demonic cherub that was to have been guarding the cemetery in the film, the sequence was partly shot and scrapped from the final cut of the film.

The above sculpt is of Rustler, he was the dog of the Judge played by John Astin, Sean Astin's (Sam in LOTR's) father, and Gomez Addams in the original Addams Family TV show.

This mummy appears to come to life in a scene in the movie set in a museum, but it's actually the two ghosts Cyrus and Stuart who are manipulating it so it looks like it's moving by itself.
Another sculpt, the film was reportedly originally planned as a Tales from the Crypt feature, but producer Robert Zemeckis liked the script so much, he decided it should stand on its own and not be part of a series.

Splat head is modeled from a Jake Busey life cast, and is from the scene were Michael J.Fox is fighting Charlie Bartlett in the cemetery.
